Several of LeBron James’ signature Nike sneakers have been given the retro treatment over the past year. Most recently, the Nike LeBron 9 was released in Lakers-inspired, mismatched colors. Reports suggest that the “Liverpool” Nike LeBron 9 Low could be the next to see a comeback at some point in late 2020.

The Liverpool-themed LeBron 9 Low dropped in the summer of 2012 and was used to commemorate LeBron’s recent investment in Fenway Sports Group, who had just purchased Liverpool and have since turned them back into a footballing powerhouse.

With Liverpool set to become a Nike club this summer and LeBron’s older signature sneakers returning, it makes sense that this specific colorway — though not one of the most popular in LeBron’s long line of sneakers — would be given the retro treatment.

As always, nothing can be confirmed just yet, so stay tuned for updates.
