Our Legacy

In what is perhaps the least surprising news for some time, OUR LEGACY WORK SHOP has made some exceptional-looking products again. Shocker!

Alongside French label Paraboot, a storied brand renowned for its robust high-end footwear, OUR LEGACY is dropping two takes on the Malo, a hand-sewn boat shoe that’s been a staple of Paraboot’s offering since the mid-1960s.

In keeping with 2024’s boat shoe revival (one that arguably began with the always-avant Miu Miu), OUR LEGACY WORKSHOP’s Paraboot collaboration only further cements the fact that the humble loafer of the sea is ready for its comeback.

Not one to unnecessarily switch up the recipe, OUR LEGACY WORKSHOP’s take on the classic stitched lug is exactly what we’ve come to expect of the Swedish brand.

That, though, isn’t to say it’s not still mightily impressive. Because it is. Very much so, actually.

The OUR LEGACY x Paraboot Malo, which lands online April 26, comes in both black and natural leather colorways and features a super-sturdy stitched lug sole and a plush leather upper that’s decorated with WORK SHOP’s signature Yin-Yang motif.

"I really like the shape and construction of the Malo, it’s hand sewn moccasin vibe, Paraboot does this so well," said Jockum Hallin, the co-founder of OUR LEGACY.

"We tried to pair our natural and black leathers with their stock lug sole units, think the outcome is simple yet elegant, shoes that will only become more beautiful with time."

If you weren’t already convinced that the prep-approved boat shoe was going to have a moment in 2024, OUR LEGACY’s Paraboot Malo should hopefully be enough to sway you.
