Pusha-T continues to bolster a versatile resume that includes rapper, designer, and president of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music. Now he looks to delve further into the music executive side of the business by launching his own record label, Heir Wave Music Group.

King Push announced the label during a recent event at Defiant Studios in Richmond, Virginia, where he also revealed the first Heir Wave Music Group signee, Petersburg, Virginia rapper Kahri 1k.

“I just wanted to bring everybody together just to tell y'all what we’re really trying to do here. As far as Virginia goes, and where I’m from the 757… I sort of feel like we haven’t established a circuit that’s really our own," he said. “Now with the label, that’s one of the things that I’m trying to do.”

Kahri 1k dropped his new project, The Ghost of Pecan Acres, on January 31 under Heir Wave Music Group, serving as the label's first official release. The compilation, which you can stream at the bottom of this article, includes features from Quando Rondo and Yung Bleu.

With Pusha-T now focused on cultivating talent from his home state of Virginia, it remains to be seen what the creation of Heir Wave Music Group means for Pusha's role as president of G.O.O.D. Music. Hear the rapper speak about his new venture in the video below.
