Summer-Ready Workwear? Randy's Garments Has It on Lock
This season is all about keeping things chill for Randy’s Garments. Renowned for its heavy duty, long-lasting workwear, the label is now switching things up for Spring/Summer 2023 to deliver a capsule that’s as hard-wearing as it is breathable.
The New York-based label — which tends to stick to brushed cotton and duck canvas — has utilized materials like 6.5oz Koolnit Mesh and cotton ripstop to recreate archetypal workwear garments, but for toastier conditions.
The capsule arrives in the usual palette of colors we’ve come to associate with Randy’s Garments with bright oranges and royal blues, offset with more muted black and gray shades.
Typically for the label too, things are reasonably-priced compared to other workwear labels — but don’t let that get you thinking their quality is any less, because you’d be wrong. Very wrong, in fact.
Take the Koolnit Mesh 3-Pocket Work Shirt for example, which boasts genuine triple needle flat-felled seams all around, as well as large interior pockets to safely keep your particulars in.
Or how about these cotton ripstop convertible cargo pants which have been designed for all-year round comfort? Up top you’ll find four cargo pockets, double-welt back pockets, and front slash pockets.
Unzip the color coded coil zippers at the knee and voila: shorts, baby! The solid ripstop side panel reinforcements add drape along with the 3″ ripstop hem, while leg covers can easily be stowed in the gusseted cargo pockets. Talk about a pair of pants, or is it two?
Honestly, Randy’s Garments’ SS23 collection is as durable as it is lightweight which might seem like an oxymoron (I mean it is), but believe me: it works.
