adidas Originals x The Stone Roses Tobacco

Release Date: January 16

Editor's Notes: It's a great time to be a fan of adidas sneakers and Manchester indie music. After last year's mega adidas x Oasis collaboration comes a new round of adidas x The Stone Roses sneakers, including this clean Tobacco model.

New Balance 2000

Release Date: January 14

Editor's Notes: Not even a year after it was first launched, it's already time to update the New Balance 2000. The huge bouncy midsole stays, but a mesh base with various aerodynamic-looking overlays makes for a more simplified upper.

While the original New Balance 2000 boasted an early-2000s vibe, this one has a more futuristic outlook.

HAL Studios x ASICS Gel NYC 2.0

Release Date: January 16

Editor's Notes: The second generation of ASICS' New York-themed sneaker comes straight from... Australia? Yes, as part of its longstanding partnership with Perth's HAL Studios, ASICS takes cues from New York's industrial architecture to create rugged new sneakers.

Nike SB Air Max 95

Release Date: January 20

Editor's Notes: Skate-able Air Max 95's weren't just a one-off for the shoe's 30th anniversary, they're here to stay. This time, Nike SB's reworked Air Max gets a delicious chocolatey makeover.

PUMA Speedcat Icons

Release Date: January 17

Editor's Notes: PUMA's sleek racing shoe, the Speedcat, is looking rather dapper with its minimal new look. Arriving in black leather with cream detailing and hardly any branding, this PUMA Speedcat almost resembles a dress shoe.

OAMC x Salomon XT-QUEST

Release Date: January 15

Editor's Notes: According to Salomon and OAMC, this is a pair of Salomon's bulky XT-QUEST sneakers. However, really, it's something completely new.

While it shares a sturdy sole unit with the XT-QUEST, this sneaker's upper has been entirely reimagined to OAMC's liking, with the Italian fashion label simplifying the construction, juxtaposing different textures of leathers, and bringing new metal hardware onto the early-2000s trail shoe.

New Balance 509

Release Date: Available now

Editor's Notes: Thought the New Balance 509 was a straightforward NB dad shoe? Think again. The bulky sneaker has gotten a substantial redesign, now covered in a series of dashed lines that give it an early-2000s sci-fi feel.
