After SZA's disappointing Best New Artist loss at this year's Grammy Awards, she managed to catch a major W last night. At the BET Awards ceremony held on June 24, the TDE singer-songwriter took home the Best New Artist award, one of the four awards she was nominated for.

Stating that it was the first award she's ever won in public, SZA shared some words of wisdom in her brief acceptance speech - "Follow your passion, ignore everyone." Check out SZA's full acceptance speech below.
