Highsnobiety

Vibram has been putting the life and sole into the sneaker industry for decades, but in recent years its star has been shining brighter than usual. The brands and silhouettes calling on the hardware services of Vibram for collaborations are like a who's who of the sneaker and footwear world. From established names like Timberland, Clarks, Vans, and Reebok, up-and-comers like Moncler and Roa Hiking, and more left-field collaborations with Balenciaga and 1017 ALYX 9SM. Not to mention the rise and rise of the love it or hate it FiveFingers shoe. Vibram is in demand.

Behind the scenes, Vibram as well as continuing to progress the technology leveling up the sneaker, footwear, and outdoor industry, Vibram has long been a purveyor of the repair market. After all, as a brand that was born in the outdoors, making soles for mountaineering boots, it goes without saying they should be protecting the environment that serves them so well. Having been in the repair game for more than 80 years, Vibram has always been keen to promote the re-soling of shoes to extend their lifespan.

Today the brand's mission is no different, and this is solidified by Vibram's “Repair If You Care” program. The program takes some of the world's best Vibram-certified artisans to local cobblers and smaller-scale artisan workshops around Europe, inviting the public to come and re-sole their sneakers and footwear with the very latest sole technology Vibram has to offer.

The latest pop-up will be stationed in Berlin at Posh Schuhe, Friedrichstrasse 230. Attendees include some of Berlin's prime sneaker glitterati, such as Bilmen, Wideawakeearthquake, iamtolgah and Thibaud Guyonnet. If you drop by between the 10th and 12th of November, you will get the opportunity to re-sole your footwear of choice with the iconic Vibram Sphike sole. And if the sole choice of luxury brands the world over doesn't do it for you, Vibram also offers the opportunity to try out many of its other sole offerings, so even the most battered of sneakers can get the level up they deserve.
