Early 2020
Norda was founded by Nick and Willa Martire in Montreal, Canada. The couple, who shared a passion for running and a background in the footwear industry, sought to create a high-performance, sustainable trail running shoe.
The COVID-19 pandemic allowed the founders to dedicate time to realize their vision. They leveraged their extensive network in the global footwear industry to collaborate with athletes, artisans, and material specialists. This period was crucial for setting the groundwork for their product.
Later in 2020 they worked on the development of the norda 001, their flagship trail running shoe, began. This shoe was designed to combine sustainability with high performance, utilizing cutting-edge materials like bio-based Dyneema®.
2021
The norda 001 was officially launched. It featured the world’s first seamless upper made from bio-based Dyneema®, setting a new standard in the design of trail running shoes. The shoe was praised for its durability, lightness, and environmental friendliness.
2022
norda continued to innovate in their designs and started collaborating with various artists and brands to expand their product line. This included limited edition releases and special colorways that emphasized the brand's commitment to performance and style.
Also, the first collab between Satisfy and norda happened. A beautiful and pretty big deal.
