An interplay of reality and virtual games: Prada presents ‘Folding in Love’, a brief and intense adventure of an object, in this case sunglasses, which is the flying lead character in a multi-level surreal journey. As befits the classic ‘arcade’ videogames, after travelling through multiple worlds in the Prada universe, the adventure ends in a romantic epilogue.

Prada continues to use lots of camouflage in their collections, also as part of their new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Two new tote bags have released, featuring green and grey camo all over patterns, leather handles and classic Prada tag branding. Priced at 560 Euros, they are now both available in the official Prada online store.

Hyped as the best show of the season already, Miuccia Prada had a couple of jokers up her sleeve for the new Prada Fall/Winter 2012 menswear show, that took place minutes ago in Milan.

Not only did they present a razor sharp menswear collection for next season, continuing to play with great sartorial fabrics, color, sharp cuts, the Italian high fashion brand also enlisted a series of Hollywood actors to walk their show – Adrian Brody, Gary Oldman, Willem Dafoe and Timothy Roth all took part in the show, which had all models walk a massive red carpet.

Styled by Robbie Spencer and shot by Ben Toms, Dazed & Confused presents a Spring/Summer 2012 menswear preview in their latest issue, concentrating on the wild patterns that brands from Prada, Givenchy to Balmain are offering this season. An explosion of color in the layered styling is incredible, even though not wearable. Matched with the clothing are the latest footwear styles from adidas by Jeremy Scott and the Nike Lunar running collection.

Actor Michael Pitt is the face of the new Prada Spring/Summer 2012 Men’s Ad Campaign. Highlighted in the campaign are the more print and graphic heavy pieces of the collection, which seems to be inspired by classic golf and the 50s. The campaign was shot by David Sims.

This year, largely in part due to the popularity of Beats by Dr. Dre, headphones have not only served as a means for listening to tunes, but they’ve emerged as an actual fashion accessory. We’ve seen folks out in public with headphones slung around their neck, like it were jewelry or something to that effect. Anyway, Prada gets into the higher-end — or in their case, straight up high-end — headphone game with these really lovely, minimal black headphones. These carry a price tag of $595 and being that Prada is not known for gadgets, this pair might not be the most viable headphone option.

Prada is known for their highly detailed key charms and has applied some of that knowledge now to some of their iPad cases. From the Prada Men’s Collection we present a new skull iPad case. Today PRADA and LG have unveiled their latest Android smartphone. The third version of the device looks clean and elegant and features one of the biggest screens found in the smartphone market. The phone is covered in the classic PRADA Saffiano design on the back. Furthermore the phone comes with a 8 megapixel camera and 8 gigabyte internal memory.

Look out for a release of the phone in the coming weeks.

One of our favorite pieces from the new Prada Fall/Winter 2011 Collection is the above all-over ‘tartan’ pattern backpack. The above line-up of Prada Wing Tip Shoes for Spring/Summer 2011 have already created a lot of discussion. The wingtip upper was paired with a thick Espadrille mid-sole. Just some weeks ago we presented the Prada customizable sunglasses, allowing you to put two initials on the Prada Private sunglasses. Now the Italian luxury brand takes the concept further and introduces the Made To Order “Lettering” Service. Starting January 15th, backpacks, trolleys and shopping bags in saffiano leather or camouflage print can be customized with the attachment of multicolored initials.  Each letter has been matched with a color and a graphic motif, also in saffiano leather. The service is offered on prada.com and at 12 Prada stores around the globe.

While brands such as Louis Vuitton and Goyard have been offering such customization for a long time already, the Prada approach is less traditional, more colorful, yet also less timeless.

Selectism looks at a new custom sunglasses program from Prada. “For Holiday 2010, Prada is trying their hand on the personalization surge which has been hitting luxury and fashion. Similar to monograming, the Prada sunglass customization allows for two letters, numbers, and symbols to be placed on the temple arms of their shades. They’re made-to-order in your choice of color and characters.”

Prada presents the “Creeper” shoes from their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. The style is not new, but we have to admit that the Italian luxury brand has added some beautiful details to the shoe and given it a more skinny silhouette. We present the shoe in overall 4 colorways, including more solid brown and black versions, as well as colorful versions. The Espadrille inspired mid-sole is probably the most interesting feature on them.

Prada applying lots of camouflage this Fall/Winter 2010 season. We have already previewed their camouflage luggage series and here comes now their matching driving shoe. Made of premium Italian leather and rubber sole, we like how the shoe is in principle very classic, but has a modern appeal due to its colors and pattern. Look for it at Prada retailers now.

Italian luxury brand has always been close to the arts, supported it and integrated it into their own collections. For Fall/Winter 2010 they present the new Prada Fantasy Lookbook, mixing real life photography and images of models and clothing with illustration art. The lookbook was produced and directed by OMA (Alexander Reichert & Fausto Fantinuoli), with photography by Phil Meech.
