Where the runway meets the street

What has started a few seasons ago as a rather simple looking streetwear brand, with a focus on shorts and T-shirts, is slowly making its way into menswear and OFF-WHITE designer Virgil Abloh has certainly come a long way already on that journey. This week the designer presented his new “Blue Collar” Spring/Summer 2016 collection as part of Paris Fashion Week. The brand presents new proportions and interesting construction in the new collection, which was heavily inspired by workwear, ending up in the collection through vintage Royal Mail uniforms. The brand’s signature T-shirts and white-striped pieces are still making up a good part of the collection, yet still appear less dominant than in the past. The development of the brand can be clearly seen and we are looking forward to see where they go in the coming seasons.
