In case you missed it, the controversial 88th Academy Awards took place last night in Los Angeles and saw Mad Max: Fury Road take home a slew of statues, Leo finally get that first Oscar, and Spotlight win Best Picture. But in taking a unique look at all of this year's Best Picture nominees, here we see Spotlight, The Big Short, Bridge of Spies, Brooklyn, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Martian, The Revenant and Room, all recreated in LEGO.

A few takeaways: the plastic toy version doesn't really do Rachel McAdams justice. A LEGO Christian Bale whaling on the drums is just as good as the real thing. And Leo —well— he still gets absolutely destroyed by a brown bear.

So whether or not you've seen all of the Best Picture nominees for this year, you'll still want to check out the entertaining LEGO recreation above.
