For the past few years, our friend Rudy Comazzetto of Diadora has been overseeing all the great Diadora sneaker collaborations you’ve seen on the pages of Highsnobiety; some of our favorites including the N.9000 “Ferro” alongside Solebox, as well as two V.7000 executions with Ronnie Fieg.

Now Rudy is moving on from the Italian sportswear brand, and as a parting gift, Diadora laced him with a pair of custom 1-of-1 N.9000 sneakers that recall some of the best Diadora collaborations in recent memory.

In a similar vein to Nike’s “What The” mash-up series – which was initiated with the legendary Nike SB “What The Dunk”, and has continued with KobeLeBron and other “What The” versions – Rudy’s N.9000s serve up a nod to previous collaborative releases with names like Patta, 24 Kilates, Hanon, Solebox, Packer Shoes, mita and more. The asymmetrical bricolage upper continues into the shoe’s interior, where each shoe boasts a different insole.

In case you missed it, check out this custom GEL-Lyte III imagining what a collaboration between THE NORTH FACE and ASICS would look like.
