Earlier this week, we were on hand to bring you a first look at Virgil Abloh’s latest foray into the Asian market as he opened the doors to Singapore’s first ever OFF-WHITE boutique, “WINDOWS.” Conceived by Abloh in partnership with duo Dong Ping Wong and Oana Stanescu from architecture firm Family NY, the slick, minimalist design also incorporated an empty gallery at the front of the store to double as a platform for live DJ sets and exhibitions — a quirk symptomatic of Abloh’s expansive vision.

In an interview shot exclusively for us, Abloh elaborates further on his ideas for the space and how the glass facade was informed by his architectural background. As well as nodding to Warholian theory, Abloh also gives a shout out to some of his favorite designers, while eagle-eyed viewers will notice a cosign for Hermes and a diss seemingly aimed at Android users.

Once you’re finished watching, check out our previous video on Virgil Abloh’s SS17 line below.
