Chance the Rapper has shared a video for “How Great,” a track off this year’s excellent album Coloring Book. But unlike some of the full-length’s previous visuals, this one was shot entirely on an iPhone.
And not only was it shot with a cellphone, but it makes for something of a technical experiment. To view the video in its intended form, it should be watched on a mobile device that is both locked and set to portrait setting. It can, of course, still be viewed on desktop computers, but only if you feel comfortable with craning your neck for six odd minutes.
The video, like the original album version of the track, features rapper Jay Electronica and indie band Francis & the Lights. The visual is also boosted by the addition of a gospel chamber choir performing live in the studio.
