After first peeping the rumored OFF-WHITE Air Jordan 1 two weeks ago, a WeChat user with the plug has now leaked images that allow us to take a closer look at the sneaker.

Information surrounding the project still remains scarce (the same could be said of the OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1), with Virgil Abloh yet to pass comment. Here, we can see the sneaker takes cues from models such as the Air Jordan 1 High Ultra and the Deconstructed 1s, with the upper clad in the classic white, cream, black and red colorway. Blue and orange stitching is featured on the black Swoosh logo, with typical OFF-WHITE branding ensconced on the medial side. The shoelaces and midsole incorporate very literal “SHOELACES” and “AIR” text, while a quoted number 85 can be seen on the leather overlay flap.

Unarguably, it’s a highly experimental and “out-there” interpretation of the classic model, and one that is sure to polarize opinion. Here’s another look at those Instagram photos from earlier this month.

As mentioned, we still know very little about the potential release, so stay tuned for further information as it emerges.

How do you feel about Virgil’s new joints? Will you cop or drop? As always, let us know in the comments below.

Staying with the Swoosh, here’s a comparison between the uber-rare COMME des GARÇONS x NikeLab Air VaporMax and the in-house all-black colorway.
