Reputed as one of the most dominating streetwear figures to have ever ruled over the corner of Melrose and North Edinburgh in Los Angeles, BAPE is scheduled to reopen its doors in the city after a seemingly planned hiatus.

Recently, images have begun to circulate Instagram under the hashtag, #bapela, with various users showing pictures of the building’s scaffolded facade, draped in a monstrous, BAPE-camo piece, bearing the brand’s signature APE logo, and a single speech bubble reading, “BAPE STORE L.A. COMING SOON.” Provided the information attached to each user’s geotags is accurate, the new store should be located along Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood.
