Say what you want about the Kardashians and Jenners, but they definitely know how to sell a product. Case in point, Kris Jenner recently revealed to WWD that Kylie’s Kylie Cosmetics has raked in an impressive $420 million USD in retail sales in just 18 months. This in turn includes the $10 million USD Kylie made in only one day from her Birthday Collection. Now, sales are expected to increase by 25% in 2017.

In comparison, Tom Ford Beauty, which is owned by the Estée Lauder Cos. Inc., reportedly reached revenues of $500 million USD after a decade, of course meaning Kylie’s trajectory is through the roof when looking at her competitors. Experts then estimate that Kylie Cosmetics will reach $1 billion USD in sales by 2022, while it took L’Oréal’s Lancôme 80 years to get to that same figure.

Going forward, Kylie plans to transform her pop-ups into more permanent locations. “I do want stores, my own store… It think it’s time people walk into a store and see Kylie Cosmetics,” she insisted.
