Much has been speculated in terms of the price tag for Apple’s upcoming iPhone, but according to The New York Times, the iPhone 8 — now rumored to arrive September 12 — will start at $999 USD. Albeit this is less than some previous reports, it’s still significantly more than the current base price for the iPhone 7, which is $649 USD and $769 USD for the 7 Plus.
Next month Apple will be hosting an event to seemingly unveil the new iPhone, as we may get multiple variations, including one with a nearly bezel-less display and infrared facial recognition features.
Again, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the company’s flagship smartphone, so expect them to pull out all the stops.
