Last week, we reported that the iPhone 8 should be officially unveiled on September 12, according to rumors.
Since Apple usually keeps to a similar launch schedule, Mashable put together a list of hypothetical dates, detailing when to expect everything surrounding the new iPhone’s release.
This year, however, the brand has changed things up slightly. Apple could unveil the new the iPhone 7S and the iPhone 7S Plus, alongside the already hyped iPhone 8, which could change when we should expect the drops. See the list below.
September 5: Invites will be sent out for the iPhone unveiling event, around 12 p.m. PT
September 12: The world will get its first look at the iPhone 8, iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus at the launch event
September 15: Pre-orders will open for iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus
September 19: First reviews of the new iPhones will be published
September 20: iOS 11 will be available to download
September 22: The iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus will go on sale
The iPhone 8 could be officially released alongside the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus, which means it would follow the above timeline. However, Mashable thinks it’s most likely that the phone will be available this October, to give Apple extra time to work out any bugs, and to not overshadow the release of the other two iPhones.
In other news, here’s how much the new iPhone will (supposedly) cost.
