In case you missed it, Floyd Mayweather hit Conor McGregor with a TKO in the 10th round of their much-anticipated boxing match on Saturday night, thus letting him (seemingly) walk away from the sport with a spotless 50-0 record. Of course, much went into both fighter’s training leading up to the bout, including a very specific diet.
According to Floyd’s personal chef, J Santiago, his regularly-scheduled breakfast lineup looked like this: eggs, home fries, grits, pancakes, and a meat option such as bacon, turkey sausage, or turkey ham.
In addition to the hearty first meal, Mayweather also partook of spaghetti bolognese — his comfort food, according to Santiago — roughly each day leading up to the fight.
Lastly, other common meals would include barbecued chicken and baked chicken with rice and gravy to ensure Floyd obtained a desired amount of lean protein.
Regardless, whatever Mayweather ate and however he trained, it worked, again, as the legendary (undefeated) boxer presumably ended his career in style.
