New York brand Aimé Leon Dore is set to release their new "0315" Pre-Fall collection this week. The 22-piece collection consists of mesh-lined trench coats, water-repellent popovers, field jackets, hoodies, crewnecks, button-downs, french terry tees, jeans, chino pants, sweatpants, shorts, baseball caps and Panama hats. Made to order in New York City, the collection was designed to complement the Aimé Leon Dore for PUMA project, which released on May 16.
As usual the brand uses a set of classic colors in its range, including navy, heather grey, camo, olive, white and tan, while fabrics and materials used include vintage loop french terry, poly-tricot mesh, selvedge denim, RiRi zippers and gold hardware. The brand continues to build its signature look, which combines iconic American wardrobe classics with premium materials, resulting in a refreshingly distinct New York look. Branding is as usual kept to a minimum, with the terry pieces featuring small, centered logo prints. The cutoff features on the sportswear and denim, meanwhile, are a nice touch as are the hints of camouflage throughout the collection. The resulting goods present a a modern look with just the right amount of accenting.
