What We’re Saying: There's no disputing the legendary status of the Air Jordan 1, although such designation generally — without mention — refers to the high-top version. Still, the Air Jordan 1 Low stands tall in its own right (see what we did there?), especially in recent months with collaborations (Hi, Travis. Hi, Kim.) as well as new schemes and OG AJ1 colorways alike.

What promises to be one of the most coveted low-top Air Jordans is the "Shattered Backboard," which is expected to arrive this summer. While mockups and teasers of the shoe have been making their rounds across the internet, this week official product images have emerged, along with rumored launch information.

The "Shattered Backboard" Air Jordan 1 has only been around since 2015, yet it's already become one of the most sought-after Jordan Brand colorways ever. The orange, black, and white scheme draws inspiration from Michael Jordan's backboard-shattering dunk in a 1985 exhibition game in Italy, and more specifically, the orange jersey he was wearing during the contest.

Now, the classic look is coming to the Air Jordan 1 Low, complete with the black Swoosh logo, Nike Air branding, and the ball and wings motif, too. Although official photos have made their way online, Nike has yet to share release information for the anticipated pair. However, insider @zSneakerHeadz reports that the "Shattered Backboard" AJ1 Lows will arrive on August 26.

Per usual, you'll want to check back here for confirmation. But in the meantime, you can cop some of the best Air Jordan 1 Low colorways currently available here.
