Over the past year, TikTok has skyrocketed and has become one of the biggest social media platforms. What was initially seen by many as "an app for kids" and an app for "silly little dances" has taken over – and we're all spending hours scrolling on our FYP. Whether you're interested in food, photography, travel, or fashion, there's always content for you to watch, no matter what topic you're looking to explore.

TikTok's fashion community has also seen immense growth, leading to the platform hosting its own fashion month together with some of its top creators, and for its upcoming show at Paris Fashion Week, luxury fashion house Balmain has invited TikTok star Wisdom Kaye, aka. @wisdm8, to walk the runway. The crossover between TikTok and fashion is one that only growing bigger, and multiple brands are starting to recognize the immense impact that the platform is having.

In addition to the show, Balmain is also hosting the Balmain Festival, which is an annual celebration that mixes fashion, food, and music. Together with Wisdom, the brand is the latest to start exploring the social media platform as well as recognizing its creators.

Wisdom has become synonymous with TikTok, and has become known for his videos that take inspiration from anything from anime to music. He's also using his platform to constantly explore the conversation between fashion and gender, politics, race, and geography, and he's guaranteed to get even bigger.
