Where the runway meets the street

Last week the Royal Canadian Mounted Police took to Twitter to warn people of conducting meetups with strangers after the sale of a BAPE Shark Hoodie went wrong.

According to the police, a Winnipeg resident arranged a meetup via the Letgo app, agreeing to sell his purple camo BAPE hoodie for $1,000. Unfortunately for the seller, the buyer arrived with a machete, struck the seller and stole the sweater.

The 17-year-old offender has since been found and charged by the Canadian police, but this latest incident serves as a reminder for everyone buying and reselling hyped clothing and sneakers to be careful and to conduct business in the safest way possible.
