Brand: Baracuta

Season: Spring/Summer 2019

Key Pieces: Baracuta’s range of outerwear is understandably strong, with the iconic G9 jacket in blackwatch plaid, a hooded camouflage iteration, an anorak, and Preston Parka rounding off the collection.

Editor's Notes: After teaming up with Engineered Garments to reinterpret its G9 and G4 jackets, renowned British label Baracuta now unveils its SS19 collection.

Encompassing a variety of outerwear including the G4, G9 and G10 jackets, long and short-sleeve shirts, crewneck sweaters, hoodies, tees and overshirts, the lineup of apparel is inspired by punk and British subculture aesthetics.

In particular, post-punk music subcultures of the '80s which introduced bands like Joy Division as well as Brit-Pop are celebrated, as the range of tees and sweatshirts are punctuated with the brand’s logo embroidered or printed.

In addition, the collection evokes a contemporary sportswear vibe, with the label utilizing a vibrant color palette of lilac, light blue, and orange, to perfectly contrast camouflage and plaid patterns, as well as military-inspired hues of green, taupe, mud, and beige.

Up next, Celine officially launched its U.S. online store.
