Kind of like German cars and French wine, when you pick up a piece of clothing that says "made in Japan" on the label, you know that you're holding an item of incredible design and construction. But what does made in Japan mean in the philosophical sense? BEAMS posed that question to Yutaka Goto of Remi Relief for an answer.

This is a part of a larger initiative from BEAMS Japan, whose latest video series explore key brands that use high-quality fabrics and unique technologies. The brand enlisted Goto-san to go over his label's entire made-in-Japan collection which is set to launch at BEAMS Japan (Shinjuku) at the end of April, followed by a global release at MR PORTER at the end of May.
