Hardcore Chance the Rapper and Childish Gambino fans may remember that the pair announced a collaborative mixtape together all the way back in 2014. Sadly, it was never released. Chance confirmed the project's existence back in May during a Reddit AMA, but the lack of concrete details (just a title would be nice!) had left many wondering whether we'll ever get to hear a single second of it.
To make matters all the more frustrating, the Chicago rapper uploaded a picture of himself and Childish (aka Donald Glover) to Instagram yesterday, fueling yet more rumors and speculation surrounding the possible new music.
He captioned the image: “Hawaii then LA, back to work. #roscoeswetsuit.” “Roscoe’s wetsuit” is a reference to Childish’s Because the Internet screenplay, which accompanied his second album of the same name and co-starred Chance. It's unknown whether the pair are working on something related to a film, finally completing that long-awaited tape, or if they were simply just hanging out.
Stay tuned for more information. Until then, check out Childish Gambino's short film, "Clapping for the Wrong Reasons," below.
