Editor's Notes: Autumn/Winter 2022 welcomes the return of Craig Green's efforts alongside adidas Originals, offering up, arguably, the duo's strongest silhouette thus far.

The ongoing relationship first bore fruit as part of Green's Spring/Summer 2020 collection, in the form of the CG Kontuur I and CG Kontuur II. Each offered radical remixes of two of Three Stripe's biggest classics – the Kamada and Ozweego.

Come Autumn/Winter of the same year, the British designer set sights on the Superstar and the Samba, expanding the collaborative portfolio to encompass the best of adi's flagship silhouettes.

Season on season, the blossoming partnership has unloaded more and more surprises, and AW22 is no different.

Pulling design cues from SCUBA PHORMA, released late last year, the SCUBA STAN combines the best of both brands.

With the Stan Smith, Craig as its foundation, Green's exaggerated scuba diving bootie-inspired rubber outsole and tension cords that extend around the full-length of the sneaker appear once again, pulling the 1978 classic into the future.

The three colorways of the SCUBA STAN showcased are distinctly less colorful than previous collaborations, instead opting for a tonal beige, triple black, and of course, classic green-on-white palette.

Unlike anything we've seen before from adidas Originals, the second silhouette of the season, dubbed the RETROPY BOOST, sees the famed BOOST foam cover the runner in full, as opposed to the sole unit alone.

It's worth noting that this silhouette remains in the prototype stage, so there's plenty of room for it to be updated further, but as it remains, its monochromatic styles are sure to turn some heads.
