It appears that we can start expecting a new Death Grips record to arrive this year. The band tweeted a photo from the studio saying that they are "working on the new album with Andrew Adamson." As in, Death Grips are collaborating with the man who directed Shrek and The Chronicles of Narnia, and no, it does not seem to be a joke. See their tweet below:

Fans will note that this is far from the first time Death Grips have employed Hollywood figures in surprising ways in their catalogue. Their 2013 album Government Plates featured Robert Pattinson playing guitar on a track, and they worked closely with 70s cinema-legend Karen Black before her passing on their last full-length, 2016's Bottomless Pit.
