The march of the rubber raincoat continues with an endless list of brands, collaborations, and remixes to confuse and bewilder those after some lightweight shower coverage. Elka were, of course, one of the originals on the scene, the Danish brand creating tough layers for fisherman, the military and police force since 1958. “Classic rainwear styles redesigned with extra focus on detailing and functional performance,” the label is now known as "Elka Regntoej." We're particularly drawn to their Klitmøller, possibly the simplest of the range in a silhouette we are now all familiar with. Pop stud closure, drawstring hood and two waist pockets, this 90% PVC/10% Polyester combination is tech-wear at its most primitive. No bells or whistles, while this doesn't carry a spec list as long as your arm, it fulfils its intended function (keeping your dry) while decorating you in a range of bold and not so bold shades from yellow to burgundy.
