Polish artist Filip Pagowski – the artist who created the infamous “heart logo” for Comme des Garçons – has teamed up with Nike to reimagine each NBA team motif in his own unique illustrative style.

For this particular collaboration, Pagowski focused on three elements of each team to work with: the team name, the city it represents, and its mascot. Using these three aspects, Pagowski was able to implement the history of each franchise and the facts or associated imagery related to a given nickname into his collection of T-shirts.

Throughout the collection, a balance of history and humor gives the iconic NBA logos new enriched character.

Pagowski’s designs will appear on a selection of shirts launching April 19 exclusively through Nike Connected NBA jerseys; a second release on the Nike App follows April 21.
