So far, FKA twigs has only released one single off her forthcoming album, but she’s making the most out of “Cellophane.” Today, she invites us deeper into her creative universe in the form of Practice. The AnAkA-directed short film is a special collaboration with WeTransfer that documents all of the preparation that went into creating the song, the physical training twigs endured for the music video, and everything else involved in the process that ultimately brought this whole vision to life.
“There was a lot of hard work that went into making the video happen — on a creative level, on a business level, on a physical level,” she said in a press release. “It’s all very well me going and doing a three-minute routine, that’s easy. But the difficult thing is knowing that you have the stamina and the strength to do be able to do that three-minute routine for eight hours, and that’s something different.”
Twigs previously worked with WeTransfer on the Baltimore Dance Project documentary in 2016. Practice is available to view now exclusively on WePresent.
