Highsnobiety

Embarking on a partnership to demonstrate leadership in the ever-evolving luxury space, Christie’s and Highsnobiety joined forces to create a one-of-a-kind panel where guests and speakers discussed the million-dollar question: What is luxury?

Editor-in-Chief Thom Bettridge was joined by Ian Isiah, Neda Whitney, Ruba Abu-Nimah, Caitlin Donovan, Gerard Starky and Rocky Xu to discuss the latest trends in collecting as well as the concept of “new luxury” and its emphasis throughout digital communities. Ending the panel with the game, Is This Luxury?, (think: The Balenciaga Simpsons episode or the Hermes Hard Hat), guests were ultimately pressed to rethink the idea’s modern meaning within our shared cultural space.

Following the discussion, the evening was capped off with a raffle including the latest pieces from HighArt such as the Javier Calleja x Mira Mikati x Highsnobiety Basketball and the Parra x Case Studyo Pear Lamp. Check out more photos from the event below.
