Following rumors, General Motors announces that the Hummer is set to return in 2021. This isn't your typical comeback story, however. The iconic vehicle will be reappearing as an all-electric pickup truck.

GMC has shared four teaser clips promoting the Hummer EV, as the official reveal is scheduled for May 20. We do know, however, that the truck boasts 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of torque, capable of traveling from 0 to 60 miles per hour in three seconds.

While the short videos don't exactly give us a clear look at the vehicle, we do see a six slot grille and LED headlights, in addition to what appears to be roof-mounted lights similar to the H2.

GMC is scheduled to share a 30-second commercial for the all-electric Hummer this Sunday during the Super Bowl. Called “Quiet Revolution,” the spot will air during the second quarter of the big game.

We expect to learn more about the anticipated new Hummer EV as the May 20 reveal nears. The truck is slated to release in the fall of 2021.
