Originally announced at last month's Apple event, the iPhone XR is the most advanced democratic offering from the purveyor of stylish smartphones and accessories. In addition to its top-tier products like the iPhone XS and XS Max, the XR aims to replace models like the iPhone 8 by bridging the gap between the vivid, longer screens of the newer models with accessible pricing and more expressive colorways.

It's equipped with Apple's liquid retina display, which is bigger than the 8+, and allows for richer colors via the True Tone display and 1.4 million pixels. Available in black, blue, yellow, coral, and PROJECT(R)ED, the edge-to-edge screen and intuitive touch features also render the home button superfluous.

One thing sneaker enthusiasts and Apple enthusiasts have in common is a love for colorways that truly reflect a person's style. So when we got the opportunity to unbox all six colors of the iPhone XR, we paired them up with a sneaker that best matched each phone.

Granted, few people have been matching their shirts with their kicks since 2005, but we figured there's no better way to show how the phone's 12MP wide-angle camera and A12 bionic chip can vastly improve your sneaker photo game by showing off the iPhone XR with some of the hottest trainers of the past year.

Check out our video showing off the new phones, and peep our gallery on the Highsnobiety Sneakers IG to see just how good the iPhone XR's camera is.

You can preorder the iPhone XR now in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB options starting at $749.
