After revealing its Hip-Hop’s Future Moguls Class of 2018, Forbes has now unveiled its annual wealthiest hip-hop artists list, and the entrants in the top five aren't much different than last year, but, there is a slight change.
While Diddy reigned at the top spot in 2017 with $820 million and JAY-Z was close behind with $810 million, this time around, Hova has overtaken Diddy, as his net worth for 2018 is now estimated at $900 million to claim the crown for hip-hop's wealthiest artists, thanks to the rising value of his Armand de Brignac champagne and D'Usse cognac, in addition to his nine-figure ownership stake in Roc Nation and Tidal.
Diddy isn't too far behind, however, with a slight bump up to $825 million, while Dr. Dre remained at number three, raising his value from $740 million in 2017, and now up to $770 million.
Rounding out the fourth and fifth spots respectively are Eminem and Drake, who come in tied with $100 million. Interestingly, last year, Drizzy was actually fifth on the list, behind Birdman with $90 million.
