Yesterday, Kendall and Kylie Jenner dropped a new collection of vintage-inspired t-shirts under their Kendall + Kylie label. No big deal, right? Well, the duo took some serious creative liberties with the designs, superimposing their faces and initials over classic rock and hip-hop tees.
Obviously, Twitter was not having it. Pink Floyd, The Doors, Metallica and Kiss all got the Jenner treatment, but it was the tees featuring Tupac & Biggie that really pushed things over the edge.
In one, Pac's face is obscured by an Instagram screenshot of Kylie posing in a pool, another features Kendall's hoop-clad portrait over an image of Biggie. Seriously who thought this would be a good idea? To make things even worse, each Tee retails for $125.
Clearly this isn't the first time either sister has got some serious heat from the internet, and for some reason we don't think it will be the last. Most recently, Kylie was under fire for stealing a black-owned company's designs, with many accusing her of cultural appropriation.
Unfortunately, it actually seems like people are buying the tees. All the rock ones are currently low in stock, while Tupac and Biggie are mysteriously missing from the site, which means they've sold out, or the brand has already pulled them. Let's hope for the latter.
