After tapping award-winning French art and design duo M/M (Paris) to reinterpret its iconic crocodile logo last fall, Lacoste has now created a special line of polo shirts made in conjunction with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and its Save Our Species (SOS) partnership, as the branch is renowned for enabling projects worldwide in order to help ensure the long-term survival of threatened species, their habitats and the people who depend on them.
With Lacoste showcasing support to help fight the extinction crisis, the French label has created 10 limited edition polo shirts featuring 10 of the most threatened species in the world. Those animals consist of the Vaquita dolphin, Burmese roofed turtle, Northern sportive lemur, Javan rhino, Cao vit gibbon, Kakapo parrot, California condor, the Saola, Sumatran tiger, and the Anegada ground iguana.
Each polo shirt, rendered in white, essentially features the respective species on the left chest area where the iconic crocodile logo is usually placed. With the retail price listed at $185 USD for either style, you participate in helping IUCN and Lacoste in the fight for wildlife conservation worldwide for every purchase.
