Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere recently took to Instagram to reveal that the campaign for the luxury house's forthcoming SS16 campaign stars Final Fantasy XIII protagonist Lightning. Computer game characters may not seem like the most likely of stars for a high fashion campaign, but given the digital, Japanese-inspired themes that ran throughout Nicolas Ghesquiere's latest collection for the house, the move makes perfect sense.

Lightning appears brandishing gear from the Parisian luxury house's forthcoming SS16 collection in a series of videos, a teaser of which can be seen below.

This isn't actually the first time the Final Fantasy character has been enlisted by fashion houses - Lightning also appeared in a Prada men's campaign for Arena Homme Plus back in 2012.
