Mike Tyson has been prepping for a comeback, but maybe not the one you'd expect. The former heavyweight champion will be battling a great white shark as a part of this year's Shark Week.

Discovery Channel recently shared a promo video for the headlining event, showcasing a noticeably fit Tyson as he tosses a steel cage around on the beach. Officially referred to as Tyson Vs. Jaws: Rumble on the Reef, the bout will be called by none other than Michael Buffer, famed ring announcer for boxing and professional wrestling matches.

“I equate this with overcoming my fear of getting back into the ring at 54 years old,” said Tyson. “I learned from this experience doing Shark Week that whatever intimidates me, I am still able to step up to the challenge of overcoming anything that would prevent me from accomplishing my life’s mission of reaching my highest potential in life and bringing me closer to God.”

Who really knows what to expect from Mike Tyson's Shark Week appearance? You'll have to tune in to Discovery on August 9 at 9 p.m. PST to find out.
