skating in nike adapt bb jenkem

As San Diego Comic-Con just wrapped, Jenkem magazine has decided to get in on the cosplay action by dressing up as Marty McFly from the celebrated Back to the Future trilogy and skateboard in Nike‘s mid-top self-lacing sneaker, the Adapt BB. Jenkem points out that due to being insanely bulky and just all-around hard to find, they chose to skip out on skating in the Air Mags and instead opt for the more practical Adapt BB.

While wearing Marty McFly-inspired garb, Taylor Nawrocki hit the streets to see how Nike’s Adapt BB handles a little skateboarding action. He wasn’t alone in the fun, however, as Alex Raspa dressed up as Marty’s accomplice, Emmett “Doc” Brown, not only to add to the hilarity but also to film the session.

A followup to the Air Mags which were directly inspired by Back to the Future, Nike released the first colorway of its auto-lacing basketball sneaker, the Adapt BB, in February of this year. The second and third colorways dropped in April and May respectively.

On this week’s episode of The Dropcast, we are joined by photographer Cam Hicks and Angelo Urrutia, your favorite influencer’s favorite influencer’s favorite behind-the-scenes creative director. Enjoy.
