Editor’s Notes: Over the past few years Kobe Bryant's signature sneakers have been retroed as part of a “Protro” line, which injects the sneakers with modern performance technology while keeping the OG design intact. While the future of Kobe-related Nike releases has been uncertain since the NBA legend’s tragic death in January, his popular Nike Kobe 5 is set to be re-released.

Whereas previously, a “Lakers” Nike Kobe 5 Protro was leaked online, we now get an official look at two “Bruce Lee” colorways. The first is the bold yellow colorway we initially saw in 2010, during the model’s original run, while the second is an alternate black and white colorway.

The yellow pair is inspired by Bruce Lee's bodysuit worn in the iconic film Game of Death. The yellow walls and toe caps are interrupted by black panels, completing the tracksuit reference, while bold red claw markings on forefoot pay homage to Lee's battle wounds from the movie Enter the Dragon.

The "Alternate Bruce Lee" colorway replicates the same details in a white, black and red color scheme. Other details include red outlining on the Swooshes and silver Kobe logos on each tongue.
