Nobu has announced the opening of its new Nobu Ryokan Malibu hotel. While the brand is best known for its top of the line sushi (and that Future line in "Jumpman"), Nobu has been expanding into the hotel business for a while now. The Nobu Ryokan Malibu is the restaurant's fourth hotel to open since 2013, but it's the first to open under the new Ryokan collection moniker.

The Ryokan collection will be a more exclusive off-shoot of the other Nobu hotels. It's the brainchild of billionaire Larry Ellison and chef Nobu Matsuhisa, but film producer Meir Teper and Robert De Niro are also on board as partners for the Malibu branch.

The intimate 17-room hotel is designed by Studio PCH and Montalba Architects and its wood-heavy interior combines both Californian and Japanese designs. The outside features a 37-foot lap pool, sundecks, a garden, and, of course, close proximately to the sea. Located just steps away from Nobu's Malibu's outpost, the hotel is the perfect spot for some sanctuary when things get a little too crazy at the restaurant.

The best part? You can order-in Nobu as room service. The hotel will be open for stays from April 28.
