Highsnobiety

It’s the start of a new year and if you’re anything like us, you’ve exhausted your bank account via the final days of the winter sales. That doesn’t mean that you need to pull the handbrake on your yet-to-be-finished new-season wardrobe, though.

It does, however, mean that you’re going to have to be a little more thrifty with your spending, but who doesn’t love a shopping challenge? We did it with $100, $150, and $200, and this time we’re upgrading. With $250, we hit Urban Outfitters to see how we could supplement our style for less.

We’re here to show how far that amount of money can stretch, and with $250 in the balance, Urban Outfitters is a very attractive place. Whether you’re on the search for WFH style featuring laid-back flannels and vintage-style band tees or if you’re trying to navigate the changing seasons in loafer-based, preppy fashion, you’ll be pleased to find out that you can do it all for $250 or less.

Shop three outfits for under $250 at Urban Outfitters.

Setting a strong WFH foundation with a pair of Birkenstock Arizonas, this fit is all about effortless style. We’re pairing the Birks with thick-knit socks because warm feet are an undisputed WFH essential. Up top, an acid-wash flannel tops a faded Metallica tee while a pair of vintage sports shorts connects the two halves.

We’re not yet out of the winter woods yet, so keeping warm is still top of the priority list. That said, the mercury is rising, allowing us to play with lighter layers. A Dickies sherpa offers workwear warmth atop a contrasting, ivory hoodie while a pair of heavy BDG cords continue the workwear direction. On the feet, we’re opting for a pair of clean Vans Authentic which echoes the ivory sweat.

The real key to staying on top of your seasonal wardrobe is keeping an eye on what’s to come. Whether you’re just theorizing looks in your head or actually taking steps to make them happen, thinking ahead is important. To usher in spring, we’re looking to a pair of tassel loafers as the focal point which works in tandem with a pair of fun socks to counteract the formality. Dickies 874 Cutoffs make the perfect companion with an ironed crease to the wide leg. A knitted polo rounds out the look which pits modern against classic.
