Editor’s Notes: PUMA was ahead of the game in 1986 when it launched the technologically advanced RS-Computer featuring a specially developed computer chip in the heel that tracked time, distance, and calories during a workout. Now, the brand is bringing back the innovative sneaker with a special reissue.
The new and improved RS-Computer boasts updated technology, while still showcasing the retro look of the original silhouette. The shoe’s tech can now be charged via USB, and it connects wirelessly to your phone. In addition, the rear heel-counter welcomes a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, miniature 3-axis accelerometer, LED indicators, and extended memory to store up to 30 days of data.
Releasing in an original colorway, PUMA’s RS-Computer reissue arrives on December 13 in limited numbers of 86 pairs (each is individually numbered on the back of the tongue) at PUMA stores in Berlin Mitte, Harajuku, Tokyo, and London, as well as at KITH.
