Famed luggage brand RIMOWA, who revolutionized luxury travel by introducing its line of iconic aluminum luggage, is turning 80 this year and, to celebrate, has teamed up with famous friends of the brand to showcase their pieces of luggage — each of them with their own story.

Notable friends of the brand include designers Karl Lagerfeld, Virgil Abloh and Nigo, award-winning director David Fincher, entrepreneur Martha Stewart as well as the design collective AMBUSH.

Photos taken of the pieces by German photographer Frank Hülsbömer will be presented on RIMOWA's social media channels while notable quotes provided by the cases' owners will also explain how travel has given them character and shaped their identity.

Dan Tobin Smith will also direct a film that follows the aluminum material through all of its production stages at the company headquarters in Cologne, which will be shown as part of the initiative.

In addition, a limited edition sticker celebrating 80 years of RIMOWA will be available at select RIMOWA stores. These stickers will not be for sale but will be gifted to select friends of the brand at the end of 2017.
