Stormzy just dropped a new track “Sounds of the Skeng.” This is the South-London rapper’s third single off his upcoming and as-yet-unnamed project.
The track proudly references his 2017 song “Mr. Skeng” off his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer. On the track Stormzy collaborates again with Grime producer Sir Spyro for boastful, fast-paced verses, reminding us that his rap legacy lives on. “Five whole years on the circuit/ Every single year I merk it/ Every single year,” he raps. The song title and cover-art cheekily references the 1965-musical classic The Sound of Music. Listen to the track below.
Last month, Stormzy dropped a video with Ed Sheeran for their song “Take Me Back to London”, watch it here.
