Telfar Clemens will be showing his new Telfar collection at the upcoming Pitti Uomo, as the buzzing unisex brand has been selected as the Special Project of Pitti Immagine Uomo 97.

“Telfar Clemens is one of the most interesting figures on the contemporary scene. For fifteen years, he has been promoting with tenacity an idea of inclusive and accessible fashion and business, with a project in which there is an unexpected blending of aesthetics, art, gender identity and functionality," said Lapo Cianchi, Director of Communication and Special Events at Pitti Immagine. "We are happy to offer him the opportunity to present himself to the Pitti Uomo community, and I am sure that the event in Florence will provide further meaning to a message that is already strong and vibrant.”

Clemens added, “We are honored to be invited to show at Pitti Uomo, where the deep sense of history and continuity sets the scene perfectly for something entirely new.”

Pitti Uomo 97 is scheduled for January 7, 2020 through January 10, 2020 in Florence, Italy. The date and location of the Telfar event have yet to be announced, but expect details to be shared in the coming weeks.

Queens, New York-born Telfar Clemens launched his eponymous label in 2005. Since, the brand, which is carried by retailers that include Opening Ceremony and Dover Street Market, has gone on to collaborate with the likes of Converse and the White Castle food chain, just to name a few. In 2017, Telfar won the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund award.
