Director Terry Gilliam has been attempting to make his Don Quixote adaptation for roughly 18 years. Following delay after delay, it looks like the film will actually see the light of day, as we’ve finally been blessed with a trailer.
The Man Who Killed Don Quixote is loosely based on the novel by Miguel de Cervantes, starring Jonathan Pryce as the man who believes himself to be Don Quixote. Adam Driver is pitted alongside Pryce, playing an advertising executive, although Pryce’s character insists that he is his sidekick, Sancho Panza.
Set between present day and the 17th century, you can get your first look at Gilliam’s long-awaited The Man Who Killed Don Quixote above. As it stands, however, an official premiere date has yet to be revealed.
