Flamingos may be pink, but TUDOR's latest Black Bay Chrono, the "Blue Flamingo," flips that idea on its head, bringing vibrant, tropical energy to the Swiss watchmaker's popular chronograph.

Following last year's wildly hyped Black Bay Chrono "Pink," this latest release wouldn't feel out of place on South Beach or during an adventure at LIV on Sundays.

Both the "Blue Flamingo" and its pink predecessor channel David Beckham's football team, Inter Miami CF, with their dial colors inspired by the team's coveted kits.

The Black Bay Chrono "Blue Flamingo" injects a bit of Florida's summery sunshine onto the wrist—something not typically seen in the TUDOR lineup. Revered for its understated excellence in watchmaking, TUDOR delivers watches that look just as good as they perform. As a newly baptized TUDOR fan, I get the appeal of this piece; its colorful dial makes it as sartorial as it is collectible.

The 41mm brushed and polished stainless steel case, paired with 200m water resistance, maintains the rugged appeal that TUDOR fans love. Meanwhile, the five-link jubilee steel bracelet with a folding clasp and T-Fit micro-adjustment ensures comfort and versatility, whether you're poolside or at a NOT IN MIAMI pop-up.

And the price? The "Blue Flamingo" retails for $5,675. But as expected, the hype has already driven resale prices to around $8,500—a $3,000 markup reminiscent of its pink predecessor's market trajectory. And honestly, that tracks.

It's hard to ignore how the "Blue Flamingo" taps into the Tiffany blue dial craze that's swept the watch world. Turquoise dials have become grails—with or without the highly coveted Tiffany & Co. stamp—circulating among collectors willing to spend extra cash on rarer wristwear. It's even spawned a micro-market of "custom Tiffany dials" swapped into favorite pieces, which I can't exactly cosign. But I digress.

Within the lore of the Black Bay Chrono—a watch often hailed as one of the best entry points into luxury chronographs—the "Blue Flamingo" feels like a natural evolution. Its bright, tropical dial contrasts beautifully with the Black Bay's rugged and industrial aesthetic, making it a standout piece that balances vibrancy and functionality.

If I find myself strolling through Art Basel this year, I just might consider copping one of these.
